The meaning behind Aleu…
Well, my friends decided we should all get nicknames....and they couldn't figure out how they wanted them. Well, I had just watched Balto 2: Wolf Quest and heard the name Aleu and fell in love with it. So I went back to school and told the girls I wanted to be Aleu. We guessed at the spelling and came up with Aleu, which just so happened to be how it is spelled in Balto. The girls decided that Aleu would stand for wolf, the North wind, and darkness. So I'm Aleu the Dark Faerie, who can control the North Wind and I can morph into a black and silver wolf. Fortunalty, my best friend wanted to be Jodi. This sparked the idea of switching first name initials with someone else and creating our nickname’s first initial. Hence, Ashley and Jennifer (me) switched and became Jodi and Aleu. The others were Kaitlyn (Syak) and Sara (Keso), and Victoria (Hyso) and Heather (Vegu). Ashy and I are the only ones that really use the nicknames…Katewin sometimes uses it…and the others don’t use them at all. Oh, each one of them also got an element. Jodi = Water Faerie, Syak = Fire Faerie, Hyso = Sky Faerie, Keso = Light Faerie, and Vegu = Earth Faerie.
…so there you have it, the meaning behind my nickname.
